Playstyle Builds

Builds in Stick Battles are stick plus habit plus when you pop a potion. There is no talent tree. This page turns the playstyles hub into loadouts you can copy without pretending the game is an RPG. Rankings for the sticks themselves stay on the tier list.

Rusher build — Midas farm

  • Stick: Dash, or Speedy until Dash is affordable.
  • Backup: Magic once you can track closest-target teleports.
  • Consumables: Star Potion at the start of a full lobby; Shield at ~80–90 kills if you are close to Midas.
  • Server: 16 players, always. Empty servers do not farm.
  • Drop this build when: you are hunting Balloon/Table or a tournament is 60 seconds out and you keep overextending.

This is the getting started endgame. If you cannot land pins, the build is not the problem — go back to controls.

Zone build — Champion and weather

  • Stick: Electric or Gravity. Wall if Table is popular tonight.
  • Backup: Long Stick on Sunset sightlines.
  • Consumables: potion when the tournament banner appears (every 25 minutes).
  • Position: near lava edges and chokes, not in the open spawn.
  • Drop this build when: the lobby is all Dash and nobody walks into your field. Then you become the rusher for a few minutes.

Zone is how you steal Champion from people with better aim and worse patience.

Carrier build — clips and chaos

  • Stick: Table, Ram, or Fighting.
  • Backup: Wall on your own team… you do not have a team. Backup is Dash after you die with a stack.
  • Consumables: usually wasted. Carrier deaths are lava and reverse-pins, not fair duels.
  • Rule: dump the stack if you cannot see the next target. A long kebab is a steering wheel for someone else’s stab.
  • Drop this build when: you care about a number. Carrier is content, not Midas.

Collector build — board completion

  • Stick: Warp for map cuts, default or Speedy for defense while you tourist.
  • Objectives: Table, Balloon, Long, MrSticky, Falling Star, Cosmic Cube — list on badges.
  • Rule: the moment Gob or a tournament starts, unequip Warp and fight. Collectors who ignore banners stay stuck.
  • Consumables: none. Potions belong on farm kits.

Shared rules for every build

Redeem codes on the account, not on a side alt you will forget. Friend Boost +10% Credits is a rusher multiplier if you already play together. Premium +10% is the same. Neither turns a C-tier trophy into S-tier.

Rejoin after badge pops. Equip the stick. If it is missing, hop. Do not rebuild the entire kit around a replication bug.

Counters are build-level, not only stick-level. Rushers lose to Gravity fields. Zoners lose to Grapple pulls. Carriers lose to Wall. Collectors lose to everyone if they stay in Warp. Swap using the main tier list instead of arguing in chat.

A weekly plan that respects all four

Two rusher sessions for kills. One zone session on a night you can sit for tournaments. One collector session after you are mentally done with PvP. That mix finishes Midas, samples Champion, and still gets Balloon without turning the game into a chore tracker.

If you want the combat theory without loadout grids, how to win is the cleaner read. If you want unlock order, how to get sticks is next.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common Stick Battles questions.

Which build is best overall?

Rusher for progression, zone for tournaments, collector for completion. There is no single best.

What stick should a rusher buy first?

Speedy or Dash with code Credits. Magic later.

Should collectors use Star Potions?

No. Save potions for rusher or zone sessions in full lobbies.

When do I swap builds mid-server?

When a tournament, Gob, or weather banner appears. Do not finish a statue hunt during Champion.
