Stab, move, open COD_, and stop losing fights to the HUD.

Controls Guide

Stick Battles uses standard Roblox movement plus a melee pin. The HUD is the part that actually confuses people: codes, sticks, quests, and the shop all live on the left toolbar. This page is inputs and menus. For the combat theory behind those inputs, read how to win. For what to equip, read the tier list.

The game is R6 avatars on up to 16-player servers. Voice chat is off. Camera is off. You are here to skewer, not to emote into a mic.

PC controls

  • Move: WASD or arrows.
  • Jump: Space.
  • Camera: right mouse drag, scroll to zoom.
  • Stab / skewer: left click. Hold movement while you click; standing still is how you get pinned.
  • Ability / second action: depends on the stick. Magic is stab then a follow-up teleport. Dash is a burst then a stab. Grapple is aim-and-pull — the video in the middle of this page is the Grapple unlock so you can see the aim cue.
  • Menu: left toolbar. COD_ is codes. Stick inventory is next to it. Quests sit in the same stack.

Shift-lock helps more than people admit. A pin is easier when your cursor is already on the target’s torso. If you play unlocked camera, you will lose to anyone who lock-on strafes.

Mobile controls

  • Move: left thumb stick.
  • Jump: jump button.
  • Stab: tap the attack control. Do not tap the world; you will move the camera and miss.
  • COD_: left edge icon. On small phones it hides under jump. Rotate to landscape.
  • Stick swap: inventory button on the same left cluster.

Mystic Stick comments call it “easy on mobile.” Dash is harder because the burst wants a flick. If you are on a phone, pick kits that do not need pixel-perfect second clicks until you have a tablet or a claw grip.

Console controls

  • Move: left stick.
  • Camera: right stick.
  • Jump: A / Cross.
  • Attack: R2 / RT.
  • UI: use the cursor or radial to hit COD_ on the left. On-screen keyboard for codes — paste is painful, type carefully, codes are case-sensitive (how to redeem).

Console players in showcases still win. The limit is the code keyboard, not the stab.

HUD map

Left side: COD_, sticks, quests, possibly shop. Center: your kebab and the victim. Top: kill feed and event banners (Blood Moon, tournament, Gob). If an event banner appears, that is your cue to swap jobs — see events. Bottom: jump and mobile extras.

The like board near spawn is not a control, but it is where some codes get posted in-world. Walk over after you redeem the live list in case a new string is only on the board.

Timing notes that feel like “controls”

The pin has a windup. Clicking five times a second does not five-pin. Wait for the stab animation, then click again. After a pin, your hitbox includes the body. You will eat lava and walls you thought you cleared — Can’t Touch This exists because of this. Jump with the extra length in mind.

Teleport sticks use closest-player logic. If someone is flinged under the map, Magic will try to visit them. That is not a broken keybind. Look at who is closest before the second click.

Accessibility and performance

Lower graphics if the 16-player kebab pile tanks frames. Ability cues matter more than shadows. The official page lists FPS around 60 on healthy servers; if you are at 20, you will lose Dash trades that you “should” win. Rejoin before you blame the stick.

Once the HUD is muscle memory, go back to getting started if you still have the default skewer, or how to get sticks if the button you cannot find is “equip the badge stick.” Equip issues are almost always a rejoin, not a missing key.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common Stick Battles questions.

What button attacks in Stick Battles?

Left click on PC, tap attack on mobile, R2/RT on console. Hold movement while you stab.

Where is the codes menu?

COD_ on the left toolbar. Full steps on how to redeem.

Does Stick Battles support voice chat?

No. Voice chat and camera are disabled on this experience.

Why does Magic teleport to the wrong person?

It targets the closest player, including flinged ones. That is the kit, not a bad bind.
