How to Win in Stick Battles

Turn pins into streaks, survive weather, and take the 25-minute tournament.

How to Win

Winning a Stick Battles round is not “hit someone once.” A pin that you cannot convert is a free reverse-skewer for the next player who walks up. This page is the PvP layer: spacing, when to carry the kebab, when to dump it, how weather rewrites chases, and how the 25-minute tournament actually crowns a Champion. Pair it with the tier list so your stick matches the plan, and with controls so the inputs are not the reason you lose.

Convert the pin

The default win is stab, attach, finish. If you whiff, you are the one standing still. Strafe while you stab. After a pin, keep moving. A stacked kebab makes you a bigger target; some kits want the stack because the body is a ram, others want a clean stick for the next dash. Magic Stick players stab then teleport onto the closest target — comments call out that a flinged victim makes the teleport look “wrong.” If you use Magic, know who is closest before you fire the second click.

Dash and Speedy win by arriving first, not by swinging harder. Gravity and Electric win by punishing people who cluster on a body. Wall literally blocks Table Stick’s gimmick. If you keep losing to a named stick, you are not “bad at PvP”; you brought the wrong answer. Swap using how to get sticks.

Streaks, Shields, and when to reset

Midas Touch is 100 kills. Enjoyer is 1,000. Those numbers are lifetime, not one life, but a streak still prints Credits faster and feels better with a Shield in pocket. Codes secondchance, savemystreak, freeshield, and stickmas2 are Shields. Do not burn them on a five-kill ego run. Burn them when a tournament is two minutes out or when a potion is already ticking.

If you die with no Shield, rejoin only if the server is empty or the kit glitched. Full 16-player lobbies are where kills live. Persistent Player wants 30 minutes without leaving — plan that session before you hop looking for “better ping.”

Tournaments every 25 minutes

Champion is “win Tournament (happens every 25 minutes).” Treat the timer like a mini-event. Before it starts, buy or equip your best duel stick, pop a Star Potion if you have one from codes, and stop wandering for hidden sticks. Tournaments punish collectors who are behind a statue hunting Long Stick. After you win or lose, go back to collection. The badge is a burst, not a lifestyle.

Weather and bosses are lobby modifiers

Blood Moon, Sunset, and Gold Moon each have a first-time badge. Meteorologist wants all non-special weathers. You do not “beat” weather so much as play it. Low visibility favors close sticks (Table, Bread, Fighting). Open sightlines favor Grapple, Long, and projectile-ish kits. Fish is “Hit 15 players with Tsunami without dying” — that is a weather-or-ability window, not a default-stick job.

Gob is a boss. Gob Slayer is top 3 damage. If Gob is up, stop dueling for vanity and dump damage. The gob code even gifts a Star Potion, which is a hint: the studio wants you in that fight. Bob (Zombie Army) is a Halloween leftover — getting killed by Bob is the badge, so dying on purpose is the strat. Details on events and badges.

Farm routes that do not waste hours

For Midas: full servers, movement stick, Shield in reserve, ignore hidden-stick tourism. For Enjoyer: same, but accept that 1,000 kills is a week of sessions, not a night. For Stars: redeem Star codes first, then play during events that drip Stars. For Credits: Premium and a friend are a 20% bump if you already planned to play together.

Empty servers feel safe and teach nothing. Private servers are off on this universe (createVipServersAllowed is false), so you cannot hide in a box to farm NPCs. You have to fight people. That is the game.

Loadout rules of thumb

  • Chasing: Dash, Speedy, Grapple, Magic.
  • Holding space: Wall, Gravity, Electric, Table.
  • Flex: Mystic (mobile comments like it), Push, Warp for map cuts.
  • Trophy sticks: Midas, Tsunami, Bread, Balloon — strong or silly, but they are identity. Rank them on badge sticks.

Watch the Midas showcase in the middle of this page to see what a 100-kill stick looks like in a real lobby, then go run the route. If you cannot land pins yet, drop back to getting started. If you can pin but keep losing to a specific kit, the playstyles hub is the next read.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common Stick Battles questions.

How often is the tournament?

Every 25 minutes. Winning it grants the Champion badge.

Should I use a Shield on any streak?

No. Save Shields for Midas/Enjoyer pushes or a tournament. See codes for Shield strings.

What stick wins most fights?

It depends on the lobby. Start with the tier list and swap when you keep dying to one kit.

Can I farm kills in a private server?

This universe does not offer VIP servers. Use full public lobbies.
