How to Beat Gob in Stick Battles

Gob is the named boss in Stick Battles, not a random lobby player with a funny hat. The badge is Gob Slayer: finish as one of the top three damage dealers on Gob. The studio even shipped a code named gob that grants a Star Potion Tier 1. That is not subtle. When Gob is up, the job is damage, not clips.

This page is the fight. Weather and calendar events sit on events. The 25-minute cup sits on tournament. If both banners overlap, pick one. Splitting usually gets neither.

How to know Gob is in the server

Watch the top of the HUD. Event banners call bosses the same way they call Blood Moon. If you walked in mid-fight, look for a large named target that several players are dumping onto instead of skewering each other. If you cannot find Gob in ten seconds, you are in the wrong mental mode — hop, or go back to how to win PvP.

Gob is not Halloween Bob. Bob is the Zombie Army death badge: you want Bob to kill you. Gob is the opposite. You want to deal damage and stay alive long enough to keep dealing it.

Damage rules

Top 3 damage, not last hit, not participation. Standing near Gob while someone else melts it does not grant Slayer. Zone and projectile kits dump more consistent damage than a carrier stack. Electric, Gravity, Long, and Tsunami (if you already have Enjoyer) beat Table rams here.

Pop the gob Star Potion if you still have it from the codes list. A potion during a dead server is a waste. A potion during Gob is the intended use. Premium’s +10% Credits does not help this badge. Friend Boost does not either. Damage does.

Do not open the shop mid-fight unless your stick is literally the default skewer. Buy Dash or Electric before the banner if you can. Getting started covers that first purchase.

What to stop doing

• Hunting Balloon or Long Stick. Map tourism is a DPS zero.
• Trying to Champion at the same time unless the tournament is already decided.
• Using Warp as your main. Warp is a collector tool. See playstyle builds.
• Dying on purpose. That is the Bob badge, not Gob.
• Running a script to auto-hit the boss. Scripts get accounts deleted; Gob Slayer is not worth that.

Positioning

Stay in Gob’s damage range without feeding the PvP pile. Other players will still skewer you for Credits. A Shield from secondchance or stickmas2 is reasonable if you are already in the top 3 and about to eat a Dash. Do not Shield a throwaway life before you have even tagged Gob.

If the lobby is all Dash, you will get pinched. Wall and Gravity buy seconds. If the lobby is all collectors, you can stand closer and farm the meter. Read the room the same way you would for weather.

After Gob dies

If Gob Slayer did not appear, rejoin. Same replication rule as Midas and Champion. Check the badges table so you do not confuse Gob Slayer with Halloween 2025 or Zombie Army.

Then swap back. Gob is not always up. Between spawns you should be on kills, quests, or map finds via how to get sticks. Keep the potion policy: event boss first, farm second, screenshots never.
